Niger Delta Progressives Alliance (NDPA) have told president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, not to test the determination of the youth to violently resist further dominance of the peoples’ interests. The NDPA, a socio-cultural group with massive following across the oil-rich region, specifically warned Buhari against using the Presidential Amnesty Programme initiated by the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as political tools to settle a few bigwigs of his party in the South-South. Melvin Oduah, the participant of the show Big Brother Africa (BBA), miraculously survived in a ghastly car accident that happened on May 1 in Benin. A day after the horrible accident, the BBA contestant took to instagram to explain what had happened and thank God for the miracle. “Aero Contractors’ decided to refund us due to scarcity of aviation fuel. I had an important appearance to meet up with last night in Benin, so I decided to hire a car to take me to Benin since I didn’t have any other option. Namadi Sambo, Attahiru Jega Pay Last Respect To Abuja Chief Imam

  Vice-President Namadi Sambo and INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, were some of the dignitaries that attended the funeral prayers offered for Chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque, Musa Muhammad, on Sunday, May 3. The late Chief Imam died on Saturday evening, May 2, at the National Hospital Abuja where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment. According to The News Agency of Nigeria, the burial, which was conducted under tight security, was attended by several dignitaries including, Minister of FCT, Bala Mohammed and former secretary to the government of the federation, Yayale Ahmed. Others were former deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu; ex-governor Adamu Aleiro, and Senator Ali Ndume. Speaking to Journalists after the burial, Mantu expressed shock over the incident. He said: “When I got the news yesterday, I was shocked but I know that life was in the hands of God and Allah can take one’s at anytime He so wish because He is the custodian of life.”
